Reiterating an established fact, Reliance Infosystems was established in Lagos in 2002, and has been transforming businesses one solution at a time whilst creating immense value for partner organizations (we call our customers partners because we believe we are vested in their progress). We began to delve into other countries outside our home country, Nigeria in 2019 by testing the waters in Accra, Ghana as Cloudware Africa. Barely 18 months into the Ghanaian market, we established our dominance and recently bagged the Microsoft Ghana Partner of the Year Award 2020!
Armed with the success of being a Microsoft Partner in Nigeria and Ghana and a Sophos Partner in Nigeria, we moved to the East African market in Q3 2020 and we’re now present in Nairobi, Kenya as Digitank. In our expansion, we thought it best to have our presence felt in Southern Africa and Botswana fit the bill with a team poised to replicate the successes of the other countries.
It has always been of utmost importance to have a crop of people that would be equipped to penetrate the new market. Heading the Eastern African region is Arphaxard Maina who holds a B.Sc. in Information Technology, a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi. He is an ICT and business management expert having worked with many businesses to grow their customer base and drive uptake of technology in different industries. He has worked with numerous Microsoft products and services and has engaged with different levels of Microsoft partners across Kenya and East Africa in different capacities.
The South African region is headed by Thuto Molapo who has more than 7 years of experience in the IT industry. Thuto has a strong track record for developing and implementing solutions that transform businesses for performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability. Before joining us, she was involved in the digital transformation journeys of iconic organizations such as Debswana, First National Bank of Botswana, Botswana Power Corporation, Botswana Public Officers Pension Fund, and numerous private and public organisations. Thuto holds a graduate degree in Computer Science: Software Engineering and certifications including ITIL © Foundation Certificate in Service Management, PRINCE2© Practitioner, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Hacking Forensics Investigator (CHFI) and Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis.
We intentionally sourced homegrown and global talent that are equipped and well versed in the intricate workings of the market of their home country and region to boost penetration and receptiveness. With a formidable force like Microsoft and as tech experts in digital transformation, our focus is on ensuring that our partner organizations (customers) are equipped with the right tools in form of products and solutions – tailored to their unique sector and line of business – to make a positive impact on the GDP of their countries.
